Quick Answer

Yumana is a 32-metre luxury phinisi liveaboard sailing Komodo National Park from Labuan Bajo, carrying up to 25 guests in 8 en-suite, air-conditioned cabins across three decks. Shared 3D2N open trips start from $330 per person; private charters from $5,950 per group. Book both through our Labuan Bajo desk.

Who Sails Yumana — And Who It Suits

The Yumana liveaboard is one of the boats our desk places guests on most often, and the reason is simple: it hits the luxury tier of the Komodo phinisi fleet — jacuzzi on deck, karaoke lounge, every cabin en-suite — without superyacht pricing. The hull measures 32 m by 6 m across three decks, and its shared 3D2N departures run on fixed weekend dates in the published 2026 schedule, which makes it easy to plan around flights into Labuan Bajo.

It suits three kinds of travelers. Couples take the Royal Suite for its private balcony and outdoor jacuzzi tub. Families like the lower-deck Superior cabins, which sleep up to three. And groups of 12 to 20 buy out the whole boat as a private charter in Komodo — at 25-guest capacity, Yumana is one of the larger vessels we arrange for corporate trips and celebrations. Aggregator listings typically cite a 2021 build, though the operator does not publish a build year, so treat that detail as unverified.

Cabins8 — 1 Royal Suite, 3 Signature, 2 Deluxe, 2 Superior; all AC + en-suite

Two of those numbers matter more than they look. The double PS120 generators keep cabin air-conditioning running overnight at anchor — a real differentiator from budget boats that cut power after dinner — and the 13,000-litre fresh-water tank means proper showers for a full boat across three days, not a rationed rinse.

Cabins Across Three Decks

Cabin classCount & deckSetupOpen trip 3D2N
Royal Suite1Queen + 2 extra beds, private balcony, private jacuzzi, sea viewfrom $600/person
Signature3 (2 upper, 1 main deck)Queen + extra bed, sea viewfrom $460/person
Deluxe2Queen + extra bed, sea viewfrom $420/person
Superior2 (lower deck)Up to 3 persons, porthole viewfrom $330/person

Every cabin is air-conditioned with a private bathroom and hot and cold water. The honest advice we give at the desk: the Deluxe is the value pick — the same queen-plus-extra-bed layout as the Signature with a sea view, $40 less per person. Pay the Royal premium only if the balcony and private tub matter to you; the shared jacuzzi deck is open to everyone anyway.

Onboard Facilities

Jacuzzi & Sundeck

Large deck jacuzzi, bean-bag sundeck and a rooftop chill-out area — the best seats for the Kalong Island bat exodus at dusk.

Dining & Bar

Panoramic indoor and outdoor dining areas, bar and mini bar, free-flow coffee and tea, plus a Bluetooth sound system and karaoke set for evenings at anchor.

Water Toys

Snorkeling sets, canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard are included; dive gear can be rented as an optional add-on.

Trip Documentation

Drone, GoPro and mirrorless photo-video documentation is included, with raw footage handed over after the trip — no extra photographer fee.

Safety kit covers life jackets, a life raft, first aid, GPS, compass and charts, and the vessel operates under the annual Indonesian maritime safety inspection regime with licensed crew — the same standard we require of every boat we place guests on.

Yumana Liveaboard Prices 2026 — Open Trip & Private Charter

The Yumana liveaboard price splits into two products. Shared open trips are sold per person by cabin class (minimum two guests, extra person $290), with 3D2N departures on weekend dates in the published 2026 schedule — roughly IDR 5.4–9.8 million per person at typical 2026 exchange rates. For context against the wider market, mid-range shared 3D2N trips in Komodo run IDR 3.5–5.5 million per person, so Yumana sits one clear tier above — see our full Komodo liveaboard guide for how the classes compare.

Private charter (whole boat)1–12 guestsUp to 20 guests
2D1Nfrom $5,950up to $7,200
3D2Nfrom $6,950up to $8,150
4D3Nfrom $7,950up to $9,600
5D4N and longerrates on request via our booking desk

Charter tiers step at 1–12, 13–16 and 17–20 guests, with additional guests at $250–350 each. Budget the park costs separately: Komodo National Park entry is IDR 250,000 (about $16) per person per day, ranger trekking IDR 200,000 per group of up to five (IDR 150,000 on Padar), harbor fee IDR 25,000, and divers pay an IDR 25,000 daily surcharge — plan on $40–50 per person across a 3D2N. A drone permit, if you fly your own, is IDR 2,000,000 per day via the park office. From April 2026 the park also enforces a 1,000-visitor daily cap on the Komodo–Padar zone through the SiOra reservation system — our desk locks in those slots when we confirm your booking.

The Route Yumana Runs

Day 1 — Kelor, Manjarite & the Kalong Bats

Board at Labuan Bajo Harbor (hotel and airport pickup within the mainland is included), then a short hard climb on Kelor Island for the first ridge view, snorkeling over the Manjarite reef, and sunset anchored off Kalong Island as thousands of flying foxes stream out of the mangroves.

Day 2 — Padar at First Light, Dragons, Mantas

The big day. The crew times the Padar Island trek for first light — on the trail by 5:15 AM, before the heat and the crowds — then Pink Beach, the ranger-guided Komodo dragon trek on Komodo Island, drift snorkeling with mantas at Manta Point, and the Taka Makassar sandbar.

Day 3 — Siaba or Sebayur, Then Home

A final morning snorkel at Siaba or Sebayur — turtles are the usual sighting — before cruising back to Labuan Bajo. On 4D3N charters the route adds Rangko Cave, Seraya and Sabolo or Bidadari. Yumana sails year-round; April to October brings the calmest seas and best visibility. If you only have one day in town, our shared-speedboat Komodo boat trip from $120 covers the same headline stops without the overnight.

How to Book Yumana Through Komodo Trip

We arrange Yumana through our booking desk at Labuan Bajo Harbor. Yumana sails as part of the Komodo Luxury fleet — the same operator behind Komodo Trip since 2015 — so a booking with us is a direct booking with the people running the vessel, not a reseller layer adding margin. Message the desk with your dates and group size; we confirm cabin availability against the 2026 schedule, hold your SiOra park slots, itemize park fees so there are no surprise add-ons, and schedule your Labuan Bajo pickup. A deposit secures the cabin; you can also start from the booking page and pick Yumana from the vessel list.

If Yumana’s weekend schedule does not line up with your flights, sister vessels in the fleet — Ayvara, Lamborajo and Catnazse among them — run parallel routes at similar mid-luxury pricing, each with a different cabin mix. Yumana’s edge over those three is scale and the jacuzzi deck; the trade-off is that 25-guest capacity means open trips feel livelier than an eight-guest boat. Compare the full fleet side by side on our boats page before you commit.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Yumana liveaboard cost in 2026?

Shared 3D2N open trips are priced per person by cabin class: Superior from $330, Deluxe $420, Signature $460 and Royal Suite $600, with extra guests at $290. Private charters run $5,950–7,200 for 2D1N, $6,950–8,150 for 3D2N and $7,950–9,600 for 4D3N per group. Komodo National Park fees add roughly $40–50 per person and are paid separately.

How many cabins does Yumana have, and which class is best?

Yumana has eight air-conditioned, en-suite cabins on three decks: one Royal Suite with private balcony and jacuzzi, three Signature, two Deluxe and two lower-deck Superior cabins with porthole views. Couples usually pick the Royal or a Signature for the sea views; the Superior sleeps up to three, making it the practical choice for families watching the budget.

Does Yumana run shared open trips or only private charters?

Both. Shared 3D2N open trips depart Labuan Bajo on weekend dates in the published 2026 schedule, with a two-guest minimum, covering Kelor, Padar, Komodo Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point and Taka Makassar. Private charters from full-day to 4D3N run year-round, and longer 5D4N-plus routes are quoted on request through our Labuan Bajo booking desk.

Can I dive during a Yumana trip?

Yumana is not a dedicated dive boat, but diving can be added: dive-gear rental is an optional extra, while snorkeling sets, a canoe, kayak and paddleboard are already included. Divers pay the park's IDR 25,000 daily dive surcharge on top of entry fees. If your group wants a diving-first itinerary, tell our desk and we will match you to a better-suited vessel.
