Who Neptune Cruise Komodo Suits
Neptune Cruise Komodo bookings make sense for travelers who want a private bathroom, air conditioning, and real deck space on a traditional phinisi without paying full luxury-charter rates. At 40 meters length by 8 meters beam with only 7 cabins, the boat gives each guest noticeably more room than budget vessels that squeeze 20 bunks onto a 25-meter hull. Couples take the two top-deck Mansard suites for the queen beds and private balconies; families and groups of four to eight split the four Deluxe cabins; certified divers get a dedicated dive deck rather than a cleared corner of the stern.
The vessel sails in the VIP fleet of our operator — Komodo Trip is operated by Komodo Luxury since 2015 — so cabin allocation, crew rosters, and charter dates reach our Labuan Bajo booking desk straight from the fleet calendar rather than through a chain of resellers. Still deciding on a boat class? Our Komodo liveaboard guide breaks down what separates a $220 budget bunk from a $610 VIP cabin.
Vessel Specifications
These are the figures confirmed across the operator and independent agent listings. Anything that varies between sources is flagged as such — we do not fill spec gaps with guesses.
| Specification | Neptune Cruise |
|---|---|
| Vessel type | Traditional phinisi (two-masted Buginese schooner), VIP class |
| Length × beam | 40 m × 8 m |
| Cabins | 7 — 2 Mansard suites (top deck), 1 Junior Suite, 4 Deluxe |
| Guest capacity | Up to 20 with extra beds; 14 at standard double occupancy |
| Cruising speed | 6–10 knots |
| Engine | W Marine 8D16 |
| Year built | Not published by the operator; agent listings vary between 2022 and 2024 |
| Home port | Labuan Bajo Harbor, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara |
Two points you will see quoted differently across agent sites: maximum capacity (14 at double occupancy versus 20–21 with extra beds) and the deck count. We list what the operator confirms; figures that vary by listing are treated as indicative, not fact.
Cabin Classes & What They Cost
Mansard Suite — from $850/person
Two suites on the top deck, each with a queen bed, a private balcony, and direct sea views. The cabins most couples ask for by name — and the first to sell out in July–August.
Junior Suite — from $730/person
One cabin on the main deck with more interior space than the Deluxe class. A sensible middle option for couples who want extra room without the top-deck rate.
Deluxe — from $610/person
Four cabins on the lower and main decks. Same air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, and hot shower as the suites — the difference is position and floor area, not comfort basics.
Every cabin has air conditioning, a private en-suite bathroom, and a hot shower. Balconies are guaranteed on the Mansard suites; whether other cabins get one varies by cabin position, so tell us at booking if a balcony matters and we will assign accordingly.
Facilities On Board
- Indoor dining room plus outdoor dining area and sundeck
- Bar and karaoke lounge
- Dedicated dive deck
- Snorkeling equipment and life vests included in the fare
- Unlimited satellite Wi-Fi
- Trip photo-video documentation by the crew (drone, GoPro, mirrorless)
- Professional English-speaking crew and licensed park guides
The satellite Wi-Fi and the included photo-video documentation are the two facilities guests ask our desk about most often. Both come standard on Neptune Cruise, not as paid add-ons — useful to know when comparing quotes, since some boats bill drone footage separately.
Trip Types: Open Trips & Private Charters
Neptune Cruise runs two formats. The shared 3D2N open trip sells per person by cabin class and is the core product; departures typically run twice weekly, though the published days differ between agents, so confirm your exact 2026 date with our desk before locking flights. If you are comparing shared formats across the fleet, our Komodo boat trip overview lists every departure style from day trips upward.
For groups, the whole boat charters from 2D1N up to 7D6N with a customizable route — honeymoons, family reunions, and dive groups are the usual charter profiles. Our private charter in Komodo guide covers deposits, route planning, and how per-day economics change with group size.
Sample 3D2N Route from Labuan Bajo
Day 1 — Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong
Boarding at Labuan Bajo Harbor from 08:00. First stop is Kelor Island for a short, steep ridge walk and a first snorkel, then Manjarite’s coral gardens after lunch. We anchor off Kalong Island by 17:30 for the dusk exodus — tens of thousands of flying foxes leaving the mangroves as the light drops.
Day 2 — Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Manta Point, Taka Makassar
The big day starts at 05:15 with the Padar ridge climb — 35 to 45 minutes to the saddle viewpoint before the heat builds. Pink Beach follows mid-morning, then Komodo Island for the ranger-led dragon trek. The afternoon covers Manta Point (drift snorkel when the current allows) and the Taka Makassar sandbar.
Day 3 — Sebayur and return
Sunrise snorkel at Sebayur around 06:30, breakfast on the crossing, and back alongside in Labuan Bajo by roughly 11:00 — early enough to make afternoon departures from Komodo Airport after 14:00. Private charters can reorder these stops or push deeper into the park on longer routes.
Park fees are never included in cruise fares — ours or anyone’s. Foreigners pay IDR 250,000 (~$16) park entry per day, IDR 200,000 per group of up to five for the ranger trek (IDR 150,000 on Padar), and an IDR 25,000 harbor fee; divers add IDR 25,000 per day. Budget $40–50 per person across a 3D2N. Since April 2026 the park enforces a 1,000-visitor daily cap for Komodo–Padar through the SiOra reservation system; our desk locks your slots the moment a booking is confirmed.

Third-party agents quoting in rupiah typically list the 3D2N open trip between IDR 10 and 14.75 million per person — broadly consistent with the USD rates once exchange and inclusions are factored in. For market context: shared 3D2N cabins in Komodo start from $220 on budget-to-mid phinisis and run $350–600 mid-range, which places Neptune firmly in the premium shared band of $600–900. Additional-person rates on shared cabin bookings typically run $310–410.

We arrange this vessel through our Labuan Bajo booking desk. To be clear about how that works: Komodo Trip is the booking agency, Neptune Cruise sails within our operator’s VIP fleet, and you pay the same published cabin rates you would see on the fleet calendar — no markup layered on top.
What the desk adds: availability confirmed on WhatsApp at +62 811 3823 875, usually within two hours between 08:00 and 21:00 WITA; SiOra park-slot reservations handled for you under the 1,000-visitor cap; cabin-position requests (balcony priority, lower deck for light sleepers) passed directly to the crew; and straight advice if you are torn between Neptune and a sister boat. To reserve, send your date, cabin class, and guest count via our booking page — a deposit confirms the cabin and the balance settles before boarding.
How Neptune Compares to Sister Boats
Within the same VIP fleet, sister ship Magika lists 9 cabins for 22 guests on a 26.74 m hull — a busier, more social open-trip feel with more guests per meter of deck, against Neptune’s 20 guests spread across 40 meters. One naming caution: do not confuse Neptune Cruise with King Neptune, a separate VVIP vessel in a higher price bracket, or Neptune One, an unrelated dive liveaboard sold on international platforms — check the exact vessel name on any quote you receive. You can compare the full fleet side by side on our boats page.
