Sample Routes 1–4 Days

Komodo Trip Itinerary — Sample Routes 1 to 4 Days

Not sure how many days you need? These sample Komodo itineraries — from a single packed day to a four-day liveaboard — show exactly what you can see and do at each trip length.

How Long to Stay

Choosing the Right Trip Length

The ideal Komodo itinerary depends on your time and pace. A one-day trip hits the four icons — Padar, Komodo Island, Pink Beach and Manta Point — but moves fast. Two to three days adds sunrise hikes, more dive sites and quieter mornings before the crowds, while four days lets you reach remote anchorages and truly unwind.

Most travelers find the 3-day, 2-night liveaboard the sweet spot — enough time to see everything without rushing. Below are sample routes for each length to help you decide.

A Typical Day

What a Day on Board Looks Like

Sunrise Hike

Early climb (often Padar) before the day boats arrive.

Breakfast at Anchor

Return to a hot breakfast prepared by the onboard chef.

Snorkel & Dive

Two or three water stops across the day at the best reefs.

Sunset & Dinner

Golden-hour cruising, dinner on deck and stargazing.
