Force majeure (volcanic eruptions, extreme weather, government closures, pandemics): Full credit for future booking valid for 18 months.

3. Itinerary Changes

Komodo Trip reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, sea state, national park regulations, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control. Alternative routes or sites of equivalent quality will be provided. Itinerary changes do not constitute grounds for refund. Our captain and crew will always prioritise guest safety while maximising the quality of your experience.

4. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are responsible for: obtaining valid travel documents (passport, visa), arranging personal travel insurance, disclosing relevant medical conditions that may affect participation, following crew and park ranger instructions at all times, respecting marine and terrestrial environments (no removal of coral, shells, or wildlife), and maintaining respectful behaviour towards crew, fellow guests, and local communities. Komodo Trip reserves the right to terminate participation of any guest whose behaviour endangers themselves, others, or the environment, without refund.

5. Liability & Insurance

Komodo Trip carries public liability insurance for its operations. However, guests participate in marine activities (swimming, snorkelling, diving, boat travel) at their own risk. Komodo Trip is not liable for injuries, illnesses, property damage, or losses arising from guest negligence, pre-existing medical conditions, force majeure events, or activities outside our operational control. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance including medical evacuation coverage.

6. National Park Regulations

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with specific regulations that all visitors must follow. Entrance fees are payable directly to park authorities and are not included in Komodo Trip rates unless explicitly stated. Guests must comply with all park rules including: mandatory ranger accompaniment on island treks, designated trail usage, no feeding or approaching wildlife, no removal of natural materials, and no drone operation without park permit.

7. Photography & Media

Komodo Trip may photograph or film activities during your voyage for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. By participating in our trips, you grant Komodo Trip permission to use such images unless you specifically request otherwise in writing before departure.
