Important Notes
Park fees are calculated per day of entry, not per trip. A 3-day trip entering the park on 3 separate days requires 3 daily fees. Before 2023, international entrance fees were approximately IDR 350,000 — roughly half the current rate. The increase was part of a broader strategy including the 1,000-visitor daily limit implemented to protect the park from overtourism. Higher fees combined with visitor caps are designed to shift Komodo from mass tourism to sustainable, higher-value tourism.
